Namely, urban agriculture means “leap-forward development” in terms its functional attribute, “clustering development” in terms industry, “ring-tier development” in terms of space, and “multi-element development” in terms of institutional mechanism. Meanwhile, targeting the four big functions of the urban agriculture in Changchun in production, ecology, education and leisure & sightseeing, he positioned Changchun’s functions on high-efficacy and featured industrial park, residents’ leisure entertainment park and back garden of urban ecology. He hoped that the above kinds of thinking would really promote the transformational development from traditional agriculture to modern agriculture in Changchun and encourage the suburban Changchun’s agriculture to better serve the city and improve the countryside.
