Macworld 2011: The Sustainable and Stylish Lostdog iPhone and iPad Cases by Aurèle

Even if you’re not familiar with the French artist Aurèle, these Lostdog iPhone and iPad cases are still striking, attractive and bold alternatives to the plain solid colored cases we saw all day. Just as interesting as the cases themselves was the recycled and reusable retail packaging.

The Lostdog series of cases marketed by Bluetrek all feature Aurèle’s traditional Lostdog theme in various incarnations. Aurèle is a pop artist, a plastician really, that has been producing art in the Lostdog theme since the late 80’s where a chance encounter with a poster advertising about a lost dog while visiting Andy Warhol sparked three decades worth of creative work. This may seem odd to non-artists but the creative process is endlessly fascinating to me and I can relate to thematic strains from seeming happenstance that flow through my work and even my father’s work as a painter.

The Lostdog cases are packaged in a cool sustainable packaging that’s made of all recycled materials, as are the cases themselves. This theme of recycled and sustainable materials was a thread we saw throughout the show and a nice one to see. The materials of the cases ranged from fabric to felt to leather and of course recycled plastics. The cases featured printing, embossing and stitching that all seemed top notch.

The Lostdog iPhone cases are $29 and the iPad cases range from $49-$89 and are available at regional retailers like Fry’s.

I needed to put you that little word to help say thanks over again just for the unique tricks you have discussed in this case. It is so generous with you to grant freely all that most of us might have advertised as an ebook to end up making some cash on their own, chiefly since you could possibly have done it if you desired. Those advice as well worked to become good way to fully grasp that the rest have a similar passion similar to my own to learn very much more with regards to this condition. I know there are lots of more pleasurable situations ahead for many who read your blog post.
