This arcade cabinet for iPad was originally the subject of an April Fool’s prank by Thinkgeek, but now thanks to Ion, it’s a reality. The iCade is a dock for your iPad that adds analog buttons and a joystick and packages it all in a retro-style cabinet for sweet pizza-parlor gaming on your iPad. The gaming cabinet features 8 analog buttons and a traditional analog joystick connected to your docked iPad via Bluetooth. This should work great with iPG retro gaming favorites like The Incident and Super Mega Worm as well as the surge of classic games from Atari and Sega that are hitting the iOS App Store.

The iCade is now in production and should be available from Thinkgeek sometime this spring for $99.
