iPad developer Alexander Pick has ported the iPhone version of Quake 3 Arena to iPad, implementing a new control scheme that allows you to control the primarily keyboard driven game from the iPad’s screen. Even better yet, Bluetooth keyboard support is on it’s way!

The game is controlled by a joystick for looking around and multiple keys on the left to move around and do your action. The controls were designed for the best game play experience we could get you with the iPad.
Apparently the game runs consistently at 55-60 FPS during their tests. This is awesome, I can’t wait for this to come to the iPhone as well!
Some Data:
- onscreen control with joystick
- iTunes Filesharing enabled
- 1024×768
- fixes several crashes
- runs fine with 4.2
- play offline or online
Controls:
left top – ESC
right top – Enter
You will be able to install the game from the BigBoss Cydia Repository shortly.
