Simplenote, my favorite writing app for the iPad and iPhone got a major update with it’s newest version. The team has added some fantastic features like shared notes, tags, pinning positions of notes and rolling back notes to previous versions. There’s some great stuff here that adds to the value of what I consider to be the best writing app for either device.
Simplenote is a free download, you can then choose to have a basic or paid account at Simplenote-app.com, which got a major overhaul with this version as well. That account will let you synchronize your notes across all of your platforms including from iPhone to iPad and iDevice to computer. It’s the ideal scenario for sharing simple notes and lists between devices, but it also works fantastic for working on larger writing projects or taking study notes.
Many of the articles I write here on the site are first jotted down in Simplenote and many of them are written entirely there and then pasted into my content system. The syncing makes it easy to continue working on an article I began on my iPad or iPhone once I get back to my desk. If you do any kind of writing or note taking on a regular basis, Simplenote is a must-have app for the iPad and iPhone.
People are using Simplenote to keep notes, lists, ideas and more. Your notes automatically synchronize with your computer and all your devices. It’s extremely easy to use. For those who want more power, you can also use tags, pins, versions, and sharing.
