A New iPad Bag from Booq is Near Perfect

I’m always on the hunt for new bags to carry my technology in. I’ve got a bag for every occasion and yet I still manage to find room for more. That’s why I was so attracted to this new bag Booq has out for the iPad, until I noticed it’s fatal flaw.

Booq makes great bags, well designed, great textiles and solid manufacturing. This new iPad bag looks to be no exception. It will carry your iPad, iPhone, credic cards and pens, the iPad pocket is lined with soft fabric that won’t scratch your iPad and the seatbelt-style strap looks comfy. But before you jump on the buy link, check this out:

What is the deal with bag manufacturers thinking it’s ok to leave the bottom of your bag exposed to the elements? Is it some sort of message that we shouldn’t take our devices out into the real world with actual weather, spilled sodas and wet benches? Why would you leave two easy access holes located just to the left and right of two of the largest ports on the otherwise sleek iPad’s body? This is confusing to me and pretty much a dealbreaker as far as I’m concerned.

It’s really a shame too because other than that one big flaw, this bag looks stunning, I especially like the card pockets and organizers, something that my current iPad bag, the Fossil Jackson commuter, lacks. I dunno, maybe I’m making too big of a deal about the open bits, does anyone else see this as a problem or is it just me?

Booq iPad Bag $89.95

  1. messenger bags on Wednesday 18, 2010

I have noticed in most clothing stores the mens messenger bags are right with the flip flops, are they a look that goes together?.
