Force iPhone Apps to Display at Full Size and Resolution on the iPad

iPhone apps look like absolute crap on the iPad. It’s a shame too because a lot of the ones that use that don’t have an iPad version are just text based apps like Facebook and Meebo and could scale up so well if the iPad OS just let them. I’ve been looking forward to a hack that would fix this problem since the iPad was Jailbroken.

Well my wish was realized in the FullForce hack, available free on the Cydia app store. Install it, reboot and enjoy the full screen goodness of your favorite iPhone apps at full screen and high resolution.

Once you’ve installed the FullForce hack, head into the Settings app and choose which applications you’d like to force to be full screen.

Then just enjoy your apps the way they’re supposed to look…..There are of course some bugs and issues with certain apps, because this is a hack after all. I’ve found that sometimes rotating the screen will fix some issues with not being able to enter text in some fields for instance. Also anything that’s graphically heavy still won’t scale all that well, it’s best to stick to apps with a lot of text. Until all of our favorite apps are converted though, it’s definitely a viable solution.

Tried it and about half to the apps did not load full screen. Their main screen stayed the same size but their menus went full size. I’ll just have to keep hitting the 2x button instead. I look forward to the update.

That was my experience as well, a couple of the apps I use a lot are enough for me to keep it installed and wait for an update!

The person who wrote this piece of crap obviously doesn’t understand resolutions. Read about it before you start blogging shite

I’ll give you a clue… It’s impossible without the games being ported in hd that they will be same quality with this app. And btw, jailbroken? Pmsl. Clowns

I’m hardly stunned at all that Steve Jobs and his monopoly of a establishment have already topped ten billion app for the iOS company and when the following year creeps around the Apple app download numbers will assumingly hit the one trillion point. Round-about estimates view that stock of AAPL will reach to around $550 a share by then, wild!
